Jamine Ackert SMDCard

Jamine Ackert is the mother of an adult daughter and the founder of Capital Yoga, an online yoga studio located in Ottawa, Canada. She also works in the arts at festivals and live events in non-pandemic times. Jamine is happy to partner with SMDCard to help people recognize the gap in resources for single mothers and the disadvantage many of them experience as they live and work in a system that doesn’t treat them fairly. Formerly a single mother herself, Jamine knows the difficulties faced by women trying to raise children on their own while also having to work and care for other family members.
